We've been there with our son. I think the jokes and laughter were more for me than him. Love how you used the buttons on the flowers. Very cool.

Another layout about my son's ear surgery in February. Most stuff used on this page is Adornit/Carolee's Creations: patterned papers, ribbon, stamp, letter stickers; Foof-a-la buttons; 2Peas Weathered Fence font; Ranger ink. Straighted up the ribbon on this, but haven't gotten around to re-scanning. Also, and maybe it is my monitor, or maybe it is because the layout is lumpy bumpy, but the colors are much brighter in real life. Journaling reads, “Before Matthew’s ear surgery, Stan and I tried to keep the mood light for him. Personally, I didn’t want him to be filled with the dread that was in my heart. We joked and teased each other. Of course, we couldn’t leave his haute couture hospital dress go unnoticed. I think he looked great – and he walked into the surgery with a smile on his face, talking jovially with all the nurses.” Thanks for looking!
