Project - NSD 10 AM LAYOUT: Come Fly Away with Me by jen kinkade posted 05/04/13 Galleries: Scrapbooking I had so much fun creating this layout for the NSD event–where a new project is being released each hour until 7PM CST!! My main source of inspiration was using the Pink Paislee Artisan collection mistable chipboard shapes. These shapes are part of the NSD sale!!! I love how you can choose to leave them plain or use mist, paint, or whatever colored medium you like to coordinate with your project. I chose to both leave some plain while coloring others in varying degrees with Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists. I combined both the butterfly and heart shapes to achieve a fun-loving layout about my middle daughter's love of reading. First, I chose to mist the heart shapes, before removing the adhesive, on my white card stock with the Color Shine Primose pink mist on my background to create a mask. Then, I lifted up the hearts to reveal the heart. I overlapped the actual misted heart over the masked heart. Next, I misted the butterfly shapes with the Color Shine Georgia Peach and Gold Lame colors to coordinate with the colors in my photo. I continued to add pink and gold/yellow accents throughout my project to add to the ethereal look of the photo. I loved how it turned out and how everything coordinated perfectly to document this special moment! Thanks for looking! :) |
