Project - Themed Projects : Snow by Jen Martakis posted 12/15/09 Galleries: Scrapbooking
I have really enjoyed creating these 2 page layouts. I am a pretty simple scrapper, that uses pretty minimal supplies but I am in love with all the space a 2 page layout provides. It's nice to be able to put more than one photo on a page and still have plenty of room for that clean and graphic look. Yay!

I snapped these photos of my little guy in December of last year. It was his first time outside in the snow. He had so much fun. Can you see his excitement? It's amazing how quickly they grow. This winter, I'm sure he'll be out there all the time. :)

For the background, I created a new document at 17 inches wide by 11 inches high. I dropped a 12x12 sheet of paper on the left and duplicated it, sliding the second piece to the right. I cut a 3 1/2 inch wide strip of the argyle paper using my rectangular marquee tool. I placed the strip right over my seam from the two background papers. I then added my photos, tucking the notebook paper behind them, added the frame to the middle photo, the ribbon, journaling spot, title and then my text. Lastly, I added a few drop shadows for a hint of dimension.

Supplies: Brandy Buffington - Scrappy Holidays and Willow Tree Alpha. Jen Martakis - Subtle Shadows. Font - Century Gothic.
|
