They grow up so fast don't they? It seems just yesterday my 12 year old was just a toddler. It's such a bittersweet process to watch them grow.

I used lots of Vinnie Pearce products for this layout. She has such a fantastic style that was perfect for the feelings I wanted to convey here.

Journaling reads: I’m not quite sure when it happened. In fact maybe it was just overnight. But you are growing up on me. You just turned 12 and are no longer that “little boy that you were yesterday. I am proud of the young man that you are and am reminded daily just how very much you are like your father. I suppose for the most part that’s a good thing. huh? I pray daily for you and for the man you will grow to be. I know you will always make me proud. Love, Mom

I think this is the best part of scrapbooking. You have the opportunity to speak to people in a format they can re-visit (when they're old enough to appreciate mom's voice). This is wonderful, honest, sweet and artsy all at the same time. I really enjoyed it. TFS

Oh Wow! Been there - done that! Great to scrapbook and journal this. He'll appreciate it very much - esp when he's older. Beautiful!!! (and quite a handsome young man too)!
