Project - Caked! by Fevvers posted 12/19/11 Galleries: Scrapbooking My daughter recently celebrated her fourteenth birthday. That same week, our neighbor's daughter turned sixteen, and at the neighborhood potluck that weekend, both girls were presented with a cake...which was really quite sweet until they started throwing handfuls of it at each other. Since it was pretty dark, the pics did not turn out too great, but I'm a believer in scrapping it real -- how could I miss the chance to document this silly (not to mention sticky) memory? As a tribute to their wonderful mess, I splattered the page with mist and paint, and topped it all off with a bold BasicGrey blossom. It's not exactly the most subtle of embellishments, which I think is why it works here -- it adds to the whimsy and splendid madness of the moment. Thanks for looking! |
