I was looking for a way to document my "family Jewels", well anyway all the brooches I have collected over the years and your design really caught my eye because I think it would work well for what I need too. Thanks for the inspiration.
Nirupama, feel free to riff on it, and have fun!
Jill, this is so amazing.... I just did a layout loosely based on this (I don't normally do grids!) and am thinking of doing something like this for dayinthelife if thats ok.
The best part is your writing. When is the novel coming out? ;)

Project - January 12, 2012 by Fevvers posted 02/06/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking There are so many ways to document everyday life, and taking twelve photos on the twelfth of each month is one way to do that. This is an approach that not only allows me to capture “a day in the life,” but it also cooperates with my busy schedule. Since I plan to do this once a month for the duration of 2012 (and possibly beyond that), I wanted to work with a design that could be easily replicated as well as a photo size that would allow for twelve photos being printed at once on a single sheet. I decided to work with 2“x2” photos, arranging them in a grid. Although I'm usually highly reliant on my sewing machine, I didn't add machine stitching to this layout; in the future I may decide to sew the grid lines, but I used a white gel pen this time. I actually really like the look of it! It pops on the darker colored cardstock. I backed each of the photos with patterned squares, across which I ran strips of 7Gypsies paper tape, unifying each row of photos. As far as I'm concerned, gridlines are meant to be crossed! Behind each photo, I added October Afternoon number stickers, which correspond to the numbered journaling. Fast, easy, fun – I think I can keep this up all year! |
