Project - Happy Birthday! by Fevvers posted 02/27/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking Finding papers and accents for a layout about a child's birthday isn't too difficult, but finding papers that are appropriate for the birthday of a 92-year-old grandmother can be a real challenge. I wanted this layout to be happy and upbeat without feeling childish, and the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan line really helped with that, since the line is dominated by soft colors with occasional bright touches. Turning 92 is a really big deal, and so I made sure to repeat the number “92” on the layout, first trimming “9” and “2” using my Cameo (to use over the jar of hearts), and then using the negative spaces as mask, over which I misted various colors found elsewhere on the layout.
