Wow, I just love everything about this page. Makes sense since my favorite color is blue too. ;) I'm still waiting for dh to put our lights up on the house.

Project - Holiday Theme: My Bright Idea by Fevvers posted 12/03/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking Last year's “bright idea” to put up blue Christmas lights led to the neighbors joking (I think) that it looked as if the police were always on our street. I see their point, but I still love the look of blue lights! Thus, I decided to go blue with this page, starting with a die-cut string of lights. I gave the entire layout a boost with pop dots, and filled the negative spaces with a variety of blue shades and patterns. I worked some shimmery blue Webster's Pages ribbon into the mix as well, and included house accents to represent our happy (blue) home. I also used a detail shot of the lights as the basis for the title – it doubles as a photo and as a pattern, I suppose. Don't you love all of that blue? Now you, too, get to experience the “po po po” holiday effect that the neighbors so enjoyed. |
