I created this page for today's October Afternoon blog post, which focuses on a lovely sketch by the AMAZING Wilna Furstenberg. Because this sketch accommodates two small photos, it's perfect to use with photos that aren't exactly spectacular, but that are meaningful all the same. These two photos were taken months apart in 1993, the first at graduation, and the second a few months later when I moved into my college dorm room. Side by side, they remind me of how excited I was to be “free”, but also how naive I was then. The page reflects on that, comparing the self I was then to the seniors I teach today (who were born the year I graduated from high school).
I used a bunch of October Afternoon products on this layout, including the new Sprinklers (in Robot Blue and Strawberry Cream). With the black and white drippy spray paint, it's also a kind of homage to Debee Campos. :) Thanks for looking!
