Each December, I pull together photos of my daughter from each month of the year, marveling at how much she's grown. I may not be able to find the time (or energy) to document life 365 days a year, but this month-by-month compilation helps me to document the highlights of the past year.

This year's layout was especially easy to put together, thanks to the Studio Calico Darling Dear Calendar Pockets that I used. Arranged side by side, they cover an entire 12 x 12 page. Within each pocket, I added a photo of my daughter, and behind it, I tucked a list of highlights from each month. I also added patterned papers to each pocket, selecting them not only for color, but for a thematic connection. Many of them make some reference to time or days or months.

The foundation of the title block is a days of the week journaling card from Pebbles, over which I added a strip of sewn Powder Glitter Tape from American Crafts. I topped the strip with several metal badges from Evalicious and Ormolu, next to which I adhered my daughter's initial and the year. I used American Crafts DIY Thickers for the title letters/number, and spritzed over them with one of my favorite products EVER, Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists. I confess that for the longest time I thought that these mists would be like any other kind of mists, but I was wrong. A few weeks ago, when I was running low on green mist, I decided to the mint green mist. I was amazed. The Color Shine mists have an iridescent sheen that looks incredible. Not being able to choose a single color to use on this page, I decided to use a different color for each letter/number in the title.

Thanks for looking!
