Project - Scrap room by CeeScraps posted 01/01/08 at 11:33 AM Please be gentle....these are the first picts. I've posted. It is where I hang out...it is my retreat to get my take-home work done, and to scrap! The cabinets are from Home Depot. The cabinets under the tv are wall cabinets. We have them on the floor so they are bookcases for me. I have 3 file cabinets/with a drawer in each, 3 - 3 shelf bookcases, 3 - 2 shelf bookcases 1 set of drawers the paint is Behr/Cranberry Splash (3 coats), countertop was made by a local craftsman. The white strips on the walls are magnetic and also from The Container Store. 1 & 2. The drawers/paper divider cases came from The Container Store. 3. The smaller divided boxes are from Target (on sale). 4. The wall with the tv is built from Target cubes. 5. The punches are in holders I purchased years ago--they hang on the back of my door. 6. Ribbon holder is from The Container Store. 7 &8. The gridwall is also from The Container Store. Yes, the baskets are Longaberger........ My paper stash is in my legal cart from The Container Store and in my closet on Target cubes. Thanks so much for viewing!! |

I love your room!! I just moved mine from a small bedroom to the den downstairs. I am loving it! It's my little "hideaway". There's a fireplace with gas logs and its so cozy. I look forward to getting lots done in 2008. I love all the things you got from the container store. I am a firm believer if you can see it you will use it!! Thanks for sharing.

Love your gorgeous room!
One ? - you said your punches are on the door but it looks like ribbon... are those spools of ribbon and if so, do you have specific product info for the holders?
Thanks!

Ribbon holder:
Over the door ribbon bracket
Ribbon Baskets:
Various ribbon baskets
The other door has my punch holder pockets. It is 3 of the units that I hooked together. However, I bought this probably 8 years ago or so.
Enjoy,
Thanks again,

This is awesome scrapbook room. Where on earth is this Container Store that everyone talks about??
I luv your ribbon rack and trying to find out here your containers that you must have the letters all in. Do you find that works out good to hold them all? Any color of letters just goes into that letter container rather than keeping them all together somehow?
Im trying to figure this part in life out with all the scrapbook letters from chipboard to sticker letters.. just cant find a good solution for me yet but yours looks pretty cool maybe to try.
I was thinking to keep them all by colors in containers but in your files/drawers so say in your "A" box that is every "A" you have in all colors, pattersn??
Thanks for any advice.. and awesome room. Luv the white everyone is doing for the cabniets.. soo sharp blooking.

As far as letters go, I originally tried to keep them separate by type/color. Then, I found when I was mixing things up I just keep digging through different spots. So, in the drawers I have a variety of colors/sizes/shapes of a particular letter.
Container Store
They do ship to wherever. I live about 30 minutes away from one of the stores. It took me awhile to get the number of items I needed. The paper sorter and drawers are made from MDF. If you do a search on their site and type in MDF it will take you to them. For the paper sorter I brought home the larger ones, took them back for the smaller ones. The drawer units have 12 drawers in them. I brought home the ones with less drawers and they were too big and I didn't need the drawers that deep.

Check the post above and it will show you the ribbon holder--it is in the kitchen department. They show it over the door and the baskets come in different depths.
The drawers are MDF - they were by the office/organizational items.
The post above has links to them.

Hey, I just found this site and came across your scrap room. It looks awesome. I am lucky enough to have a really great studio room, but you have gone farther than I did!!! I have done something similar with the craft cubes you have on the TV wall. I had trouble with them staying together to hold more weight. I solved the problem by re-enforcing all the joints with small cable ties. You can get a pack of about 100 for a buck and they work great! I put 2-3 on each edge and all along the back to hold everything together and it is soooo much sturdier! Thought you could use the hint if you were having the same trouble, or just wanted them to be able to hold more! ~Michele
