L is for...

Hello Peas and welcome to the weekend!  We're covering the letter L today - and get ready for some inspiration because we have a LOT of brand new and inspiring projects. :)

We'd like you to think of this event as a library of resources, an index of inspirational stamped pieces and informative posts.  We've collected projects from the Garden Girls, your favorite brands and our special guests - each day you'll see something new from one or more of these artists, as well as exemplary projects we've collected by scouring the gallery, spotlighting how our members have applied these topics to past projects shared.  Be sure to scroll to the end of this post for a special challenge with a chance to win!

Lawn Fawn

We've teamed up with Lawn Fawn and their design team and have several new projects to share with you today using their whimsical stamps!  Check these out and get ready to ooooh and ahhh, pin and bookmark!

Starting out, here is a card from Garden Girl and Lawn Fawn DT member Julie Campbell:

Dashing Through the Snow by Julie Campbell

From Julie: "I love taking non-seasonal paper & stamps & using them to create holiday cards! It makes my supplies so much more versatile. I used Copic markers to color my forest critters & created 'snow' by using a scrap of white felt."

And more from Lawn Fawn's DT:

Boo! by iheartart

From Tiffany: "For my card, I used a chalkboard technique on an American Crafts Adhesive Chalk LABEL using LAWN FAWN's Happy Haunting stamp set! I heat set the stamped images in white embossing powder and then colored them with Faber-Castell's Design Memory Craft PITT Pastel Pencils. The main image panel is then adhered atop LAYERs of distressed patterned paper and cardstock! "

Batty Halloween by Chari Moss

From Chari: "This project was created by heat embossing the sentiment first then covering the background with distress ink. Both water and Ranger Perfect Pearls were flicked on top of the ink to get a spotted effect. The bat were also created by heat embossing on white then using distress ink to color them. Quick Tip: it is helpful to figure out the placement of the bats before adhering them down."

Friends Forever by teriishere

From Teri: "So my card uses Lawn Fawn stamps and lots of layers. I guess you might say it's a 2 for one kind of deal. ;) I used masking to stamp the tea cups. I stamped the tea cup once on the card. Then, I stamped it on a sticky note and cut it out to make a mask. Then, I placed the mask on top of the stamped cup and stamped the tea cup again."

Friends Warm the Heart by ltlea23

From Lea: "I am so excited to be back as a guest of this event, sharing another manufacturer close to my heart!! I have been a part of the Lawn Fawn team since {almost} the beginning, and I just adore using these fun and whimsical clear stamps!!   If you enjoy cute images, fun sentiments & fonts, and the ability to either paper piece or Copic color...then Lawn Fawn stamps are right up your alley!! Two Peas in a Bucket carries the full selection of Lawn Fawn stamps, so be sure to check out them out in the store! "

From Latisha: "I used Lawn Fawn stamps, my label is a die cut from a Spellbinders die, and I had fun layering it all together."

L is for layering

Our next topic is layering! Layering can add depth or interest to a card.  Keep your design a single layer, or pile on the layers for extra dimension and texture!  You can even layer stamps like Garden Girl Jill Sprott demonstrates in her layout she's sharing today:

From Jill: "Using texture stamps from American Crafts and Tim Holtz and dye inks from Jenni Bowlin for Ranger, I began by stamping a base texture, and then I stamped over it with a different texture. In addition to layering stamped images over each other, I also layered stamped images over a pattern, as you can see I did with a woodgrain stamp over lined paper, next to the layout's title.  By working in stamped images alongside patterned squares, the basic grid approach to the page is given an extra kick of color and texture. Spooky. "

Don't you love the vivid color and extra texture in her page?!
