Challenge - Digital Challenges : just you (torn paper challenge)

To be completly honest I had never done a  digital layout with torn paper before.  So I straight away went to the trusty tutorial section at Two Peas and found  a  delightfully easy tutorial by Kate Teague on how to get that torn paper look.  She is looking fabulous in a  bathing suit in her layout!

So with this layout I used two pieces of background paper, the green piece from my new Caravanning kit and Jen Allyson's gorgeous cloud paper from her Spot Color kit.  I simply changed the blending mode of the cloud paper till I liked the look of it.  Then I created the torn paper look on a  piece of paper from my Beautifully Grungy Garden Again kit.

The frames are from Kate Teague's Best of Volume 1 kit.  I love their little shadows to look like they pop off the page ever so slightly.

With my magic tool I selected a  cloud from Jen's Spot color kit and changed the blending mode to soft light.  That became my journal spot.  

And I couldn't resist Meredith Fenwick's bird from her new Wreckless kit.  Some simple tear drop shapes added and it's done!

Cant wait to see how you add some torn paper... and may it be a  little more creative than mine!!!!
