Challenge - Digital Challenges : Shadows by modmask posted 11/12/08 Galleries: Scrapbooking  This week's digital challenge is to use shadows. You can interpret that a lot of ways. I chose to use elements on my page that could use drop shadows. Drop shadows can be great if you can get them to look realistic. You can use the preset that comes with your program and mess with opacity/depth/spread etc. to give it the effect you want. And you can also change a drop shadow in Photoshop by right clicking on the layer effect icon on that particular layer and select Create Layer. Now the drop shadow will be on it's own layer and you can Edit>Transform>Warp and change the shape of the shadow to make it look curled or bent. Playing with these options can create more depth and a realistic look. I also use the burn tool to create darker areas underneath the elements!
