Challenge - Digital Challenges :August 13 - 19 Use Text as a Design Element
by Sande Krieger
 Who doesn't love FONTS!
They are so cool to work with and there are so many different ways to use them.
This week I challenge you to use them as a design element.
I wanted to make my journaling more of a design element then just a standard journaling box. So I used a variety of fonts, in different sizes and colors and backed them with white, lined or black boxes to make certain portions of my journaling stand out. I also reduced the opacity on some of the journaling so that it would be subtle.
I got this journaling idea from David Carter who is a fabulous graphic designer.
I also used an arch on my date that wraps around the 9 to give it a little more visual interest.
There is a article in the garden on using Fonts in creative ways for your titles.
You can find it here.
