Challenge - Digital Challenges :Using Filters and Fonts to make a Title by Sande Krieger posted 04/02/08 Galleries: Scrapbooking For this challenge - we want you use fonts but then add one or more filters to them for your title. For my title I typed the title using a grungy typewriter font. In order to use filters on your fonts you have to rasterize them 1st. To do this, right click on your font and you should get a menu where one of the choices will be "rasterize." Also, if you try to use a filter on your font layer it will give you an error message telling you that you have to rasterize 1st and asking if you want to do that. After I rasterized my font, I went to Filter>Texture>Craquelure... I was trying to make my title look like roof shingles since that's what my boys are doing...roofing the house. Then I added another filter by going to Filter>Brush Strokes>Ink Outline. Remember to make sure that you are selected on your font layer when you choose a filter to use. I'm excited to see what you come up with! |
