Challenge - Digital Challenges : a little girl, a butterfly

The Dodge and Burn tool! You know when you have one of those photos that's just too bright or too dark?! That's the challenge for this week...try out that Dodge and Burn Tool!
This tool is used to lighten or darken areas of an image. It regulates exposure by holding back light to lighten an area on the print (dodging) or increasing the exposure to darken areas on a print (burning).
My photo of Darby by the window was so white it was just blah! So that's where the burn tool came in handy. I darkened up the panes of the window a little to make them not look so white.
I also used the dodge tool to blend the two pieces of paper that I used. Kind of like a blending tool or a muffled eraser! When it came to putting some text on my LO, I found that I wanted it right where the photo was and it was too dark so once again I used the dodge tool to lighten the photo so my text could show.
Look forward to seeing your LO's.
