Challenge - Weekly Challenge : Outside your comfort zone! by Shannon Tidwell posted 12/14/07 Galleries: Scrapbooking 99% of the time I'm all about bright colors and bold accents. It's my comfort zone. For these photos though I wanted to do something different. I wanted something softer. I tried a little different style, but I think I kept some of my own too. I used this large 2 because it has several meanings to me on this layout. 1) My 2 boys that my world revolves around, 2) That these photos were taken when each of them was 'about' 2, 3) How I imagine people will address them in the future 'those 2 tidwell boys!'....followed by something mischievous they did I'm sure, 4) and how I want the 2 of them to stay 2-gether. always:) Another item that has a little inner meaning to me on this page, the stars. They look like a mother looking over 2 sons to me. So your challenge is to try something new this week. If you generally use bright colors, go softer. If you like muted colors, go for bright. And then once you make the layout look at how your true style still shines through. |
