Due to some home renovations and the subsequent packing of each and every piece of patterned paper I own, I've been scrapping digitally lately! So this week's challenge turned out to be a double challenge for me!

And while I've been post-poning my traditional scrapbooking, I've had some time to edit photos lately, which led me to these rare photos of my brother and my daughter! I wanted to scrap them right away, so I decided they were a perfect pick for this week's color challenge. The photos were taken in the summer, so the colors are bright and lively. I chose lime green as my main color, and used blue and yellow for supporting colors. This is an easy color scheme to use for any outdoor photos, and it translates well to both spring and summer themes!

To create this page, I used a base of kraft paper and added graph paper and polka dot paper, the color of which I adjusted with a hue/adjustment layer. I used boyish and playful embellishments that reflect the theme of the page: my daughter's uncle. And with digi scrapping, I feel a little freer to play (without the mess) so I used a brush set that mimics the look of foam stamping and also added the fun doodled stars - two things I rarely or NEVER do on traditional pages. :)
