Weekly Challenge: Use white, black, gray and __________.
You pick the additional BRIGHT color!

I love bright colors - but believe it or not - white, black and gray are the colors I use the most. They provide such a great, grounding backdrop for bright colors.

In my LO, I actually used 4 bright colors: red & green and orange & purple. Both pretty holiday specific color choices. And I love using them…especially red and green. By using them with the white, black and gray…they loose their “holiday-ness” and just appear to be fun colors.

I can't wait to see what you come up with this week!

About my LO:
I tore this advertisement for All Bran out of a magazine about a year ago. I loved the word bubbles and I really liked the tone on tone white background.

Instead of flowers, I used my circle punches to punch circles out for the background. I drew an outline around each and crumpled them up a bit. I adhered each with a glue dot.

I cut out the word bubbles from the advertisement. I used them as my stencil to trace and then cut out two more word bubbles the exact same size. Then I trimmed the second word bubble down so that it was just a little bit smaller than the other one.
(You could also just draw word bubbles.) I repeated this process for the other word bubble.

I put adhesive all along the edges of the larger word bubble with a tape runner. I placed small pieces of patterned paper in red, green, orange and purple along the edges. Then I adhered the smaller word bubble over it and trimmed the excess.

My photo I printed on mat photo paper and then just trimmed it to leave enough white space around it that it looked kinda like a poleroid photo. I then outlined it to make it look more poleroid-ish.

I adhered the word bubbles and the photo with 3-D glue dots so that they would stand up, off the page a bit.
