Challenge - Be Inspired By: a Magazine: Sugar & Spice by Shannon Tidwell posted 01/20/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking I know so much inspiration can be found online now. But there is nothing like ripping a page from a magazine. I tore this spread out of my Better Homes & Gardens Magazine last May, put it in a stack to save for a rainy day…and that was today! Luckily I had quite a stash of cupcake liners in my pantry. I just started gluing them on my page. It would have been great to have some mini liners too, but I didn't. So to layer them I trimmed around the edge of a few to make them smaller. I was left with a neat stack of crimped pieces that I had to put to good use, too! I gathered them all up and attached them to the top of the page. I wanted the page to feel loose and floaty, so I used some masking tape to attach the birth announcement. I tucked a few things behind it to dress it up a bit. Your challenge: Find inspiration from an ad of some kind and create a layout! Be sure to share your inspirational piece with it when you upload. Don't forget to check the correct challenge checkbox when uploading. We'll randomly select a winner of a $5 gift certificate to Two Peas from the challenge submissions and announce them on the Garden Girl Design Team blog next Friday. Enjoy! |
