Hi irish28,
Thank you so much for the sweet comment. That piece is actually in the Amy Tangerine Bits Cardstock Shapes - which looks like is sold out in the shop, but you can request it and you will get an email when it comes back into stock. Hope that helps! :)

Challenge - Weekly Challenge :: Color Challenge! by amyheller posted 02/10/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking I'm so excited to be hosting this week's Weekly Challenge! Today we're going to focus on a colors! I don't know about you but I use Pinterest ALOT. I even have a color inspiration board that I pin to. But instead, I decided to use this gorgeous room as my inspiration for the palette that I chose to work with for today's project. The next image is a swatch of all the prominent colors in my inspiration room. Now, you don't have to use all of the colors - as you can see, I even snuck in a BONUS color in the lefthand corner, but it gives you a good idea of the vibe I was reaching for. (Also, as a side note, you'll find this about me and my work - the more nervous I am about a project, the more embellishments I use. So don't mind me, my knees were just knocking a little bit since this was my first challenge here at 2Peas! LOL!) The next three images are included to show you how I shopped and arranged my selections from my own stash of papers and embellishments. I started simply by grabbing EVERYTHING that was in the color range from my swatch palette. It was WAY more than I thought I was able to come up with, so I was happy about that. It gave me lots of options. My next step was to color code my selections, this made it easier for me to select just one or two of the papers that I selected from a given color. Then I pulled what I wanted, and gathered those for my project, and started to formulate my design for my layout. I really love that when you look at the page next to the picture of the room it is SO evident where the inspiration came from. So what do you say? You want to give this vibrant and Spring-like color palette a whirl? I'd can't wait to see what you create! Simply upload your layout by next Thursday at 11:59 PM CST for a chance to be entered into a drawing to win a $5 Two Peas gift certificate. The winner will be posted on the Garden Girl blog. Thanks so much for checking out my very first challenge this week! I'm so excited to see what you've come up with! :D Have a super day! |
