Challenge - Weekly Challenge: Sketch Challenge: For Like Ever by amyheller posted 03/09/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking Hi everyone! I thought I'd play around with a sketch this week. As you may know, I've been diving into my Pinterest boards for inspiration lately, and this week is no exception! I found this adorable print on Pinterest [pinterest.com] and thought the design would be a great catalyst for a sketch! I kept the sketch pretty literal to the print, but as you can see from my page (For Like Ever)I offset some of the elements and embellishments, to add further movement and variation to the design. One of my favorite elements about the inspiration piece is the LARGE and simple title that leads your eye directly down to the main focus, the adorable whale. I really wanted that same type of impact but leading the bold title down to my photos. Even though I offset some of the elements, because I kept the weight of the title heavy by reversing it out from a dark patterned paper, it achieves a similar result. Would you like to play along with this sketch/inspiration piece? I would LOVE to see what you create!
