FYI: Kimber, this doesn't show up with the rest of the Sat. Card Sketch Challenges when I go to the challenge gallery and click on Sat. Card Sketch.
I love that denim paper! So sad that paper pack is out of stock! Great card!
Such a great happy card! And and awesome sketch! TFS!
Thanks, Kimber, for this week's sketch. This design would work well with left-over pieces of ribbon too. Daria
A very interesting sketch & sample, Kimber. Gives me some ideas. I like the use of layering on your piece & that you left the 'flags' free to wave... TFS!
I really like this card! I appreciated that the chevron and dotted patterns are repeated in your patterned paper choices. And the faux stitching creates a kind of frame that 'holds' all the flags.
Challenge - Saturday Card Sketch Challenge with Kimber 3.3.12
Today's sketch was created so I could use up a lot of scraps I had accumulated over the last few weeks. I've been getting a LOT of projects out of my 6x6 pattern paper pad from My Mind's Eye. When I finish up a card, I just tuck the scraps back into the cover of the 6x6 pad.
Long ribbon banners are so popular right now so I went with that design element as my focus (which is PERFECT for scraps). I had also picked up a die cut birthday sheet from My Mind's Eye that I wanted to use for cards. The ‘Happy Birthday’ banner was a long die cut. Too long for the card so I cut it into 2 pieces. ‘Happy’ and ‘Birthday’. Now it's perfect for a card. ;)
I hope you will grab this sketch and some scraps and create a card this week. Don't forget to load it up in the gallery here and click on the Saturday Card Challenge button so I can see what you create!
Have a great one!
