Pretty Genius! Love it!
Hi Jen! The font is called ChunkFive. It's a free font.
Love this layout and would like to CASE the idea. Do you mind letting me know what font you used for this? Thanks.
I love this idea--the topic and the cut out title.
Holy smokes - this is awesome sauce with cool sprinkles on top!
What a great theme for a layout, well thought of.
My husband would say this is perfect for me because I spend too much time on Facebook and reading blogs each week.
I am going to get my layout started today, thanks for a terrific challenge.
Challenge - Journaling Challenge: Technology
by Jill Sprott
This week's journaling challenge is to seek your “story” from the technology that surrounds you. You could gather together a bunch of recent tweets or status updates (as I did on my layout), incorporate an excerpt from a favorite blog post, or document a recent conversation in the form of a chat transcript or series of texts. You could also create a layout about the technology upon which you are dependent (check email first thing in the morning, or sleep with your cell phone nearby, anyone?), or even journal about your online “self” and the sites you frequent.
I went with “ready-made” journaling for this page by gathering some of my Facebook status updates from the past month. Using my Cameo, I cut out the lettering, and under the negative space, I placed patterned papers, upon which I had printed the title over and over in binary code. I used a binary code converter online to enter my text and have it converted to zeroes and ones.
Be sure to share your project in the gallery (and don't forget to check the challenge checkbox on Step 4 when you upload your layout). You'll be entered to win a $5 Two Peas in a Bucket gift certificate when you play along. The winner will be announced on the Two Peas blog next Saturday.
