There are so many pieces to the Toil and Trouble collection [twopeasinabucket.com] from Making Memories that they could not all be used on one layout…. a mini book, a themed album, home decor or party decorations, yes. There is just so much to chose from in this collection. There has to be something for everyone and each of their tastes. Maybe you don't like glitter, that's okay, because 2 of the letter stickers are not glittered, there are non-glittered stickers and even some metal icons. Trust me. Something for everyone.
In addition to the many double sided patterned papers [twopeasinabucket.com], there are a couple of specialty papers, including one with paper dolls. I love that there are some subtle patterns, and even a few plain solids. I missed that in some of the other collections that I used this month. The 8x8 Paper pack [twopeasinabucket.com] has more specialty treated papers, as well as 2 different die cut papers. I used several papers to create my layout, as well as create my own embellishments. I really liked the skeleton paper [twopeasinabucket.com] with my layout, since the costumes were undead-ish. I like the whimsey of this paper. I also cut the swirl from the one paper [twopeasinabucket.com] and machine sewed it to my layout, creating a separation from the title border on the left of the layout. I punched out dots and circles and adhered them with glue dots to give them some dimension on the page.
There are several letter sticker choices in this collection, I really liked each of them and used two different ones on this layout. I like the mix matched glitter one [twopeasinabucket.com], with the blings as well as the colored cardstock ones [twopeasinabucket.com]—they have printing on them, newspaper print and some have a spider web. Loved using them. They both worked out perfectly on my layout.
Embellishments are plentiful beyond that… several different kinds of stickers, including round, glitter, 3 Dimensional and epoxy. As I said before, something for everyone. The same icons are repeated throughout, obvious halloween icons: pumpkins, ghosts, spiders and skeletons. If you have any of the Making Memories halloween collection from last year, the icons are the same or very similar and could easily be used with this year's collection.
