What album are you using?
I could have sworn I commented on this. Must have been another page of yours......
All the DB papers are now in my cart. I didn't think I needed them, until I saw this.
Thanks for sharing some practical ideas about getting started. Love all the colors you pulled together!
I love your Christmas album! I want to make one exactly like this, but where do you get the scrapbook/journal? I don't see it listed below.
I love this and your 2009 album too! I just signed up for Shimelle's class and am very excited to create my album this year. I have never done a theme album (just chronological ones) and can't wait. I love the album shown above and the one you used for last year's album as well. I can't seem to find them though...could you please help me out. What is the size of the albums and the manufacturer? Am I just missing them in the store?
We're going to Disney(land) for Christmas this year, too. I hope you will share more of your album as you add to it. I love your style!

Video - Kristina's Picks 11.19.10 Christmas Series: wk 1 by KristinaNicolaiWhite posted 11/19/10 Galleries: Scrapbooking For the next 6 or more weeks, I am going to focus on Christmas products. There are so many Holiday classes and events going on, or will be going on soon and so many of you participate in them. The holiday season is a big deal for us at Two Peas, it is the only “theme” of products that really dominates our store during its peak season. So we are rich and plentiful of holiday products right now! I am going to take the next few weeks to try to show you as many I can! For the last 6 or more years, I have created a holiday album. This is one of the only theme albums that I create annually, and I really enjoy it. (Click this link [twopeasinabucket.com] to see my Christmas 2008 album) I have done several of the daily and journaling classes. All of which changed my album style for that year. So for this next few weeks, I am going to show you pages that I have done in my 2009 Christmas album with all of the new products in our store. This week I want to focus not on holiday products and collections, but really the other stuff. The Non-Holiday products. The kind of products that you probably already have or should have on hand to create your album or projects. It's the non-holiday papers. The non-holiday collection embellishments, stickers and more. It's not really hard to run through the paper and find all kinds of papers to use. I pulled as many reds, pinks, greens, and teals that I could. There are papers in this pile from various manufacturers…. October Afternoon, My Minds Eye, American Crafts, Doodlebug, Ki Memories, Basic Grey, Echo Park, Jillibean Soup, Jenni Bowlin, Crate Paper, Studio Calico, Cosmo Cricket, Creative Imaginations, and a few others. I like to do this before I start my holiday album as I like to make sure I have enough Reds and Greens. I like to use holiday specific papers and products, but it's always nice to have other non-holiday papers. Not all red papers need to be specific holiday papers. It's hard to do that sometimes. And it's nice to have a few other reds on hand then. I love to create pages where there is color concentration. So I am mixing up all kinds of Reds together, with punched or layered circles, a mosaic, color blocking or strips. I create piles in my workspace of color specific paper piles. When I need a red, or several reds for a page or project, I can go right to it and grab a few and create without having to dig around. I also grabbed handfuls of embellishments. It's so nice to just have them handy in a basket right there in your workspace when you are working on a big project like this. I like to have the basic items on hand… buttons, brads and ribbons in all kinds of colors. I specifically pulled together the items from Doodlebug and Ki Memories new clips. The rainbow of colors really lends itself to be used like this. They have their products in every color, so that you can easily match them to the project. Grab letter stickers in every color, but every red and green that I can find in my stash is stacked up and ready to grab. I even bring my basket of label stickers close, so that I can grab them easily as well. I know a lot of you are creating your journal or album before the month of December begins and some of you create it as you go along. I hope this is helpful. Be sure to watch the video to see all of the papers that I found in our warehouse! |
