Kristina, I love your binder scrapbook. I watched your video where you gave more info on it due to the amount of interest from your other fans, but you never did give the dimensions. Is this book an 8 1/2 by 11? I also want to scrapbook without using page protectors. It seems to me to be such a hassle when I use so many embellishments that are very 3 dimensional, to have them hidden behind a plastic shiny page. Thank you for your time, I am totally inspired by your style!

Video - Kristina's Picks 12.17.10 Christmas Series: wk 5 by KristinaNicolaiWhite posted 12/17/10 Galleries: Scrapbooking This week's Kristina's Pick is an older holiday collection from October Afternoon. Very Merry [twopeasinabucket.com] was introduced and popular last year and is still available this year and equally as popular. The colors are wonderful, and traditional October Afternoon. They are really great with their style, keeping to it and providing a consistently good stream of patterns and collections. This one makes use of the traditional holiday colors as well as my favorite pink. The are several shades of green as well, which I really love. The pink snowflake pattern [twopeasinabucket.com], the green plaid [twopeasinabucket.com] and lt blue/red polka dot pattern [twopeasinabucket.com] are some of favorites. As I have said with other picks I have shown you, these will be present all throughout my Christmas album. And as I have said with other collections, this one also coordinates so well with all of the other great Christmas products for really easy scrapbooking. No extra time spent looking for just the right paper to match, you can have them all together and know that you can grab any at any time and they will all coordinate really well. I don't traditionally scrapbook with cream instead of white as my main grounding color, but I do like it this year to go with all of my Christmas photos. October Afternoon products are always cream rather than bright white. As I said in another week, this is great for photos that are more warm or yellow in color, making that yellow tone a bit more mellow and warm rather than making it stark and hard not to notice. The stickers that in this collection are among my favorites. I love the label stickers [twopeasinabucket.com], the colors and borders are great. I love the pinks and reds together. The word sticker sheet [twopeasinabucket.com] contains so many great little words, titles, quotes and other odds and ends. I love to throw those little things on my pages, a little “Be Merry” or “made with love” sticker. That little bit of additional sentiment makes me feel good about my page and the message I am trying to convey. There are 2 12x12 sticker sheets as well, one with a larger alphabet [twopeasinabucket.com], printed with the same music sheet pattern as one of the papers. The other is the shape stickers [twopeasinabucket.com] which has all of the icons that are throughout the collection: the gingerbread man, popcorn, candy cane, mistletoe, etc. The Wild Cards [twopeasinabucket.com] are full of vintage imagery, with 2 little fun bingo cards in the mix. There is a Santa's list as well as a recipe card as well. I love those green and red bingo cards. They are a nice little size too. I threw in an additional letter sticker selection this week, as I think that red alphabet stickers are a great staple to have on hand all the time when you are doing a holiday album. I end up using them more than I thought I would. I love the Basic Grey letter stickers, so those are in this week's picks as well.
