Video - Personal Shopper 2.2.2012 - Mini Albums by Jamie Sorenson posted 02/02/12 at 12:00 AM Galleries: Scrapbooking Hi Peas! I've had quite a few requests for mini album recommendations and so that's what I'll be covering in today's video. I also reference a video we did in a past series where Kristina shares how to create your own binding for mini albums. I've embedded the video below. Another good source for making mini albums? This past class [twopeasinabucket.com] series, "A Mini Album a Month," by Jen Gallacher, "Make Mine Mini [twopeasinabucket.com]" by various Garden Girls, as well as these projects [twopeasinabucket.com]from the Garden Girls. Lastly, I couldn't possibly cover all the albums we have in the store. See the rest here [twopeasinabucket.com]! Enjoy! Now on to last week's prize winner! Congrats to Nelmar36 you are our randomly selected winner from last week. A prize will be sent to the address in your Two Peas account shortly! Leave a comment below by next Thursday February 9th for YOUR chance to win, as well as your questions for any project recommendations! |

Jamie, Thanks for another great video. You have shown some things I have never seen, or never noticed before like the October Afternoon minibooks. What great little books. I'm going to get the apple and put one picture for each school year as a keepsake.

nice to get a peek at all those mini options! :)
btw, when you mentioned using gesso with paper, did you actually mean the multi-medium instead? I thought gesso was similar to white paint, so that would cover over pretty patterned paper!

Great Ideas! But doesn't gesso dry white? Or am I confused. My favourite brand for mini albums is Kaisercraft. They're Australian and do their albums in thin wood so they don't buckle when you ink/paint/glue. Am loving all the ideas though - even more to add to my to do list.

This video was very informative! Thanks Jamie. I would love to see recommendations for companies or collections that are universal for mixing with other companies or collections. ( hopefully that makes sense)

Thanks for the comments on Gesso - you are right, it does give a chalk-like finish. You can use a multi-medium (also from Claudine Hellmuth/Ranger) for a clear sealing. We are currently sold-out, but I've related them below for when we do get them back in stock.

Really like all the options you shared Jamie! Thank you, I have some good ideas now to get started.
For the future could you share ideas about a scrap themed cookbook/recipes for family members? I want to include photos, journal, and personalize for each of my 3 kids who are now on their own.

I love these personal shopper videos, keep them coming! I do have a suggestion. Can you do something about the overhead lighting? Sometimes when you show us something in the package the light reflects off the cellophane and you can't see what it is. Thanks!!
