Thank you so much Jen for sharing a very personal and private part of your life. Hearing you made me tear up and I know that must be something incredibly hard for you to deal with everyday. You are a strong and beautiful woman and I get such inspiration from you (and even more now on a nonscrapping level.) Your work is amazing and I just love watching your videos and seeing your projects.
I find it hard to scrapbook lifes sad moments too but I think it can help in the healing process sometimes. I am very sorry for your loss xxoo
This layout looks terrific. I love how you placed the photos along the bottom and those cute houses along the top. Your ideas are always great, thanks for sharing and inspiring me to try new things on my own craft work.
I love your layout, so cute and thanks for sharing it with us. Sending good thoughts your way, this month and always.
Thank you Jen for sharing your heart, your story and this layout. Thank you for your honesty that sometimes even scrapbooking has to be set aside until you feel you can tell the stories of you heart
Beautiful Layout, as always, with great idea for us to use. Grief is something that each person works through differently and scrapbooking has been very good for my children to work through the memories of the father, as I am sure it helps you remember the beautiful times with your son.
Thank you for sharing a difficult part of your story. Beautiful layout!!!

Video - Memory Keeping Monday: Love Lives Here by JenGallacher posted 04/23/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking This month I combined the option of following the monthly theme of “Favorite Place,” as well as, using florals my layout. My favorite place is anywhere my children are. As this month marks the fifth anniversary of my son's passing, I wanted to create a layout about some of my favorite “places” with him. I can't always create layouts when I'm sad or missing him. I wait until I feel ok with it and then I write or journal about my feelings. There are lots of difficult topics when it comes to scrapbooking, my philosophy is to do it when you're ready. There's no reason to push yourself when you're not. In addition to covering a difficult topic, I wanted to show you some ways to change up your florals for your projects. Be sure to watch the helpful video that shows you a fun coloring technique: Challenge: Create a layout using the theme of “Favorite Place” or use florals on your page. I've included lots of floral options to choose from. Think chipboard, fabric, and die cut for some additional options. |
