@bocephus - The Silhouette communicates with your printer. If you chose to print & cut, it will add printed registration marks to your printed image. You remove your printed paper & then place it in the Silhouette. It reads the registration marks & knows exactly where to cut. So... as long as you have a home printer, you can use this feature. It's really fun!
I don't understand? Does the silhouette print AND cut? The description says it only cuts...

I'll also give you pointers on how to achieve a similar look by using other crafting supplies. I designed this card for my son's teacher for the first day of school, but it's so universal that it could be used for any occasion.
