thanks for making such a great video! i'm not a creative person (more of a "maker" than a "creator") so seeing your creative thought process really got my maker brain running. like the others above me, i always go from photo to paper. i think i'll try it your way and see what happens. i do need to take more risks and be more adventurous with my scrapbooking!
I agree w/ scrappygail - I am one of those that has to match the paper to the photos. I've tried it the other way around like you did, and it turns out fine too. It's a good way to keep the creative juices flowing. Another great video.
Awesome video, Hey didn't you buy that stamp set in video #8? Looks familiar... :-)
I've never thought of planning a kit this way. I've always done it using the photos as my start. This will be interesting to try. It was also helpful to hear you go through your thought process as you talked about your purchases and making your kit. Thank you for extending my thinking.
I always enjoy learning new things here at 2 peas. Your layout looks great. I love the colours and style, well done :)
Love this video! So fun to see how you approach starting a layout! Thanks for all your hard work, Shimelle.

Video - Glitter Girl Adventure 033: Out of the Box by shimelle posted 08/15/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking This week Glitter Girl opens an order from Two Peas and starts her quest to mix and match products from various manufacturers, something being discussed here [twopeasinabucket.com] on the general scrapbooking message board. This adventure takes her from receiving an order to creating a page kit mixing those supplies with existing items and finally the creation of a new scrapbook page. Come along for the adventure, won't you? If choosing supplies is something you would like to study more, then a Two Peas workshop might be just what you need. I've highlighted two that focus on supplies below - Amy Heller's colour-based workshop and my own Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking. This week, Glitter Girl challenges you to pay close attention to your product choices as you mix and match product, then share the results in the gallery! Use the description box to tell us what you discovered as you create. Don't forget to tick the box for the Glitter Girl challenge in step four of the uploading process. Join us every Wednesday for the Adventures of Glitter Girl, helping the world one crafting dilemma at a time. Each week Glitter Girl joins Two Peas via video to solve a problem posted on the message boards. Don't miss out as she shares project tutorials, product comparisons and technique tips throughout the year. |
