As always, love your work. I always get inspired and learn new ideas.
Ok, I got ahead of myself, you did dot around the edges, I guess I was just hoping to see journaling. Love the page. Thanks.
I love your work, always have, but just one question - Why use the adhesive chalk labels if you aren't going to write on them? Why not use black cardstock? Is it because you wanted the glossy effect or because it was just what you had on hand. I was just really wanting to see you use them in a way that you could journal on them. Thanks.

Video - Glitter Girl Adventure 039: Die-Cut Dynamics Part1 by shimelle posted 09/26/12 Galleries: Scrapbooking This week Glitter Girl brings you the first of a two part miniseries inspired by this discussion [twopeasinabucket.com] on the General Scrapbooking message board. She's taking on die-cuts - specifically, mixing die-cuts with other embellishments so they work hand in hand with your favourites. Part one this week focuses on manual die-cutting - the kind that uses a metal cutting die and a machine like a Sizzix Big Shot or similar. She takes you through tips on choosing the best dies for your style then creates a new scrapbook page mixing those die-cut shapes with pre-made die-cuts and embellishments. If you're interested in more die-cutting details, don't miss the Getting the Most from your Die-Cutting Machine [twopeasinabucket.com] series here at Two Peas! You'll find twelve different lessons with plenty of detail there. Come along for the adventure, won't you? This week, Glitter Girl challenges you to use manual die-cut shapes on a project along with pre-made embellishments, then share the results in the gallery! (If you don't have a manual die-cutter, don't despair! You could substitute punched shapes or cut basic shapes with scissors.) Don't forget to tick the box for the Glitter Girl challenge in step four of the uploading process. Join us every Wednesday for the Adventures of Glitter Girl, helping the world one crafting dilemma at a time. Each week Glitter Girl joins Two Peas via video to solve a problem posted on the message boards. Don't miss out as she shares project tutorials, product comparisons and technique tips throughout the year. |
