I knew about cutting those strips for quilts to make a patchwork, but I never thought of doing it with paper. I am going to go make a dent in my scraps tonight. Thank you.
Love this technique! Have to give it a try. Gorgeous card.
This is a great card. I just found out last night we are having a card shower for our church organist. I decided I am going to card-lift this idea and give to her!
I love this! The quilted look takes me so long usually, thanks for the great technique!!
Thanks for sharing this great technique with us. I will be trying it very soon. I always love your work and this card is no exception. Super cute!
Love how this came out! Very cute

Video - Finally Friday: Your heart is my home by Justlulu posted 10/19/12 Galleries: Cardmaking Hey Peas! I'm so excited to have another Finally Friday card to share with you :) I show a technique to make all those little squares much quicker than you'd think it would take! Almost like a little patchwork quilt background. I used paper from many different October Afternoon 8x8 pads. I seriously love them so much! The perfect size patterns, and I find they all work together so well. For the main sentiment I used a piece from the new Pebbles Seen and Noted Line. They have these fabulous Journaling and Phrase that I know will become a staple in my paper crafting. A true must have :) I finished the card with some October Afternoon buttons and a sticker tab, as well as a cute little key sticker from Bella Blvd. Thanks so much for watching!! I would also like to issue a challenge to make a “patchwork” background for your card as I demonstrate in the video. |
