Wonderful video, Jen! Thanks again for your wonderful, encouraging teaching style. I have so many collection kits and I really appreciated your taking time to show all those different ideas to make use of a collection and come up with such an interesting page. I find masculine pages challenging and appreciated your ideas on that! So many creative yet simple techniques - who knew you could do all that with some pretty paper and a few well-chosen stickers!
Just watched your video and love your page...the mix of patterned papers, the number cut out and your composition :)
Love your videos - you do such an awesome job narrating and explaining your process. Love that you focused on stretching collection kits. I have so many! Your layout is amazing - I'm totally going to lift it for an anniversary page. :)
beautiful as always, thanks jen!
Great page! I love all the colors and elements. You always make it look so easy!
I really enjoy your videos and the LO's you create.
Video - Memory Keeping Monday: My Favorite
For this “Memory Keeping Monday” project and video, I challenged myself to stretch a collection kit by using several unique techniques. A collection kit typically includes patterned paper, alpha and/or element stickers. Some manufacturers also include additional embellishments. Read the product descriptions before purchasing so you know exactly what you're getting in the kit.
To stretch this “For the Record 2: Documented” kit from Echo Park Paper, I die cut the paper, created flags from the stickers, cut banner shapes from the paper, and layered and cut stickers to fit my theme.
Challenge: Use a collection kit to create a layout. Try a new technique when using an element from the kit. Be sure to upload it to the correct challenge gallery.
Below is the helpful video tutorial which features this layout design process start-to-finish:
In the products section, I've suggested several collection kits you could use to recreate this layout.
