Already watched this earlier. Now I am doing the gardener's digest blog hop, where Laura referred back to it. Great layout Laura, and I enjoyed watching your process. I esp liked how you added a divided page protector for extra photos. I also tuck extra photos behind/between layouts, but those aren't visible, as yours are.
Love the bright happy colors!!
Loved watching this. I have been including additional photos on a divided page protector for quite a while - I love making sure the pictures are out of the computer! The page and card are both so cute. Great job!
I really enjoy your style, but I LOVE how you store your enamel dots and chipboard/stickers!!!
YOur page is so cute!!! (Love the pics!!) I started using pg protectors for extra pics last year for events that I take so many of. Really enjoying all of the seeing double segments! You all are so inspiring. :)
L O V E this layout! And thank you for the suggestion for the extra pics. What a great idea!
Video - Seeing Double: Hello, Hello, Hello
Galleries: Scrapbooking, Cardmaking
As always, I'm excited to be here with another video tutorial. The Seeing Double series is dear to my heart because it's what I do all the time anyways, and isn't a stretch for me. I love getting extra milage out of the products I've already pulled for my page and creating a card too.
I used lots of product from the new My Minds Eye Collectable line with some additions by Pebbles, washi tape by Doodlebug, and my favourite new stamp from Hero Arts. :) Also from Hero arts, I truly love the ink pads. I have a whole bin of inks from over the years, most of them different brands and random colours because I've never loved one line well enough to buy all the colours. I'm totally sold on these inks and will definitely be adding a new colour to each order I place from now on. Such a relief for me to finally find a great stamping ink. :)
When I buy supplies from a line I love, I almost always grab the 6x6 pad, and then in 12x12 I'll grab a few sheets of the papers that REALLY catch my eye. I love the tiny print on the 6x6 pads, and find I can use them well enough on pages and cards alike. Although I still like having a few big sheets to make mages like this one.
I love the idea of misting, and while I do still use it every once in awhile I am just as happy to use enamel dots! I think scattering them on the page like mist droplets gives the same look but with added dimension and more control. That said, the new Heidi Swapp colour shine mists are GLORIOUS! :)
I see it so often on the message boards where people wonder about pages with so few photos, and what about the rest of pictures that were probably taken at the same time. Well for me, I choose my absolute fav. photo's to scrap and then I put the rest in my album beside the page in a pocket page protector. This way all the photo's are together in my album and I don't have to either make a ton of pages for one event, or inevitably lose/forget them on my hard drive never to see the light of day.
CHALLENGE: Create both a layout and a card using the same stamp on both. Upload your projects to the correct challenge gallery for a chance to win a 2Peas Gift Certificate. Challenge ends in one week.
