I have twine and I've never used it. Thanks for the ideas! Oh, and I love your take on the sketch...particulary with the heart paper at the bottom. Nice!
I just love this photo! So fun! Love your LO too. Feel like I must just scrap lift the whole thing! Love the heart ties too.
Thanks for the great ideas! I have not embossed my veneers yet, maybe this weekend! I have used my copics which is a super easy way to color them...my favorite look though is naked!!
Embossing on wood veneer. Yes! Love it.
Great video! Thank you so much for answering my question. I think I am going to have to go shopping for some wood veneers.
Love the photo and the page, thanks for the tip about the twine, i have never used twine on a page so i am about to give it a go.

Video - Glitter Girl Adventure 057: Wood Veneer Wonders by shimelle posted 02/13/13 Galleries: Scrapbooking This week's Glitter Girl Adventure was inspired by this thread [twopeasinabucket.com] on the General Scrapping message board, all about wood veneer embellishments. The first half of this adventure takes Glitter Girl through the creation of a new page with an 8x8 photograph and a sketch by Jen Gallacher [twopeasinabucket.com]. The second half covers embellishment, including several different ways to dress up wood veneer pieces. If you're looking for ideas for sorting and storing your wood veneer items, you may find this video from Amy Tan [twopeasinabucket.com] to be useful. She has a much more orderly storage system than Glitter Girl. Come along for the adventure, won't you? This week, Glitter Girl challenges you to use wood veneer on a project and share it with us in the gallery. In the description box, make sure to tell us a little about how you used the wood veneer or what shapes you think are most versatile or anything else relevant to how you use this type of embellishment on your page. Be sure to check the box for this challenge in step four of the upload process. While not on the wood veneer focus, this video from Jen Gallacher shows how the same page sketch can be used to create a page with a different style and number of photos. Jen has a whole series of twelve editions in her Stretch your Sketch class, free right here at Two Peas. |
