Video - In the Mood to Scrap: Signs
Welcome to another in the Mood to Scrap Video.
This week I am demonstrating a 2 page layout, focusing on 2 colors opposite of each other on the color wheel. I created this contrasting color layout with both patterned papers, and with watercoloring and misting techniques.
I was really inspired by the 2 colors being used together on Celine Navarro's layout [twopeasinabucket.com]and wanted to try to use them in a layout for myself. I love the feel of the 2 bold colors in the same composition.
The bullseye as an icon really stood out to me for this particular layout— it contains a rather ordinary photo of an extraordinary event. This is a visual representation of this one moment that happened exactly at the right time that I needed it to. Hence the bullseye. I used arrows from an upcoming new digital cut file that is coming soon to the digital section at Two Peas in a Bucket.
My challenge this week: Use 2 different bold colors to create a layout that makes a statement. Just upload your layout to the gallery making sure to check the challenge checkbox. We'll draw a winner from all the In the Mood to Scrap participants at the end of the month and announce them on the Two Peas blog.
