so glad to see someone else cut out the background from behind. I do it to reduce bulk and to save the paper for something else, but I was starting to think I might be the only one who does that.
Gosh, I am ALWAYS drawn to your layouts! Love your style! :)
love the hearts. great layout
I love to make cards and haven't embossed in a long time!! Love how you did the "&" in green! I will try to incorporate that more!!
Love your card & layout. The sewn hearts add wonderful texture & interest to your page. Thanks for sharing that visual triangles could also be done with color. Who knew? So great!
Love the layout and card. I am a fan of primary colors too, with 2 teenagers. The delicate pinks and baby blues are gone in the current photos. I really like your design, which incorporates an 8 x10 page on a 12x12 layout.
Video - Seeing Double: Griff & Grandpa
Galleries: Scrapbooking, Cardmaking, Stamping
Happy Friday guys! I'm happy as always to be here with another project and video in the Seeing Double series. Today I decided to talk about using Visual Triangles to draw the viewers eye in the direction you choose. In my case I've use two colour triangles that are built around my photographs to visually make them the stars of the page.
In this video I also show how I alter the colour of wood veneer with embossing powders, and use my Lawn Fawn heart dies in a very fun way.
This month in the Garden is all about colour, and I thought I would make a page using my favourites, which are basic Primary colours. They just work so well for boy pages which is what I obviously do the most with 3 boys.
I used a bunch of great new supplies from the shop like the sticky note banners and arrows. They are such a fun easy element to use, and you get oodles of them in the package. I am also really loving the Die's from Lawn fawn and how beautifully they cut.
I used a mix of different papers from My Minds Eye, Dear Lizzy, and Echo Park. I have also included a photo of the products I pulled before I started. I often do this because it makes my projects come together so much quicker when I make a “kit” of supplies and keep them on my desk to pull from.
Challenge: Create a layout and a card and utilize visual triangles with colour to draw attention to your photographs. Upload it to the correct challenge box to be entered into the drawing for a 2Peas Gift Certificate. I look forward to seeing what you create! :)
