GG to the rescue again! Although my album will be vastly different, a holiday in Tasmania, the process will be very helpful. Thanks Shimelle!
I loved it! I hope we see alot more pages from this event in your life. I am planning for a week-end crop in a couple of months. I know I will use your idea of deciding on colors and gathering supplies. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! This was amazing! I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed when you were showing all of your supplies, but when I saw the thought process behind it it started to make total sense! I started my album a few years ago with an old Anna Griffin line but it started to feel too matchy-matchy and I never finished it! This gives me so much inspiration to get it done (especially since we'll celebrate 10 years this October!) Thanks for the inspiration!!
I love your page GG, so very pretty, elegant, just what I expect of your style, and a great starter page to an album. I often start a "project" as you described (usually Christmas!) and love having all supplies to hand.
Love it! So loved the long video! GG, how did you attach the bakers twine? I so look forward to your videos!!
My favorite part .. "There is more paper in the world" :) So true! I love that your wedding album isn't all matchy matchy and uses all different lines and collections. That is how mine is coming to be as well.
Video - Glitter Girl Adventure 070: Wedding Album Answers
This week Glitter Girl takes on the challenge of paper matrimony - planning and then starting a wedding album! This adventure is inspired by this discussion [twopeasinabucket.com] on the General Scrapping message board. The first half of this video covers Glitter Girl's advice on starting an album, pinpointing some inspiration in terms of colour and design, and gathering supplies. The second half shows the process of creating the first page from those supplies for a new wedding album.
You can see the mood board for this project here [pinterest.com]. If using a mood board is right up your street creatively, don't miss the In the Mood to Scrap [twopeasinabucket.com] series every Tuesday here at Two Peas!
Come along for the adventure, won't you?
This week Glitter Girl offers you two challenges, so you can join in the fun even if you don't have wedding photos waiting to be scrapped. If wedding scrapping IS up your street, then your challenge is to create a wedding page and share it with us, of course! In the description box, be sure to tell us a little about what works well for you when creating wedding pages or even a whole wedding album. If you prefer another subject, then we'd love to hear about how you plan for an album on any set topic - something that isn't just a collection of pages from one year, but has a little more continuity. Maybe it's about a hobby or a vacation or a school years album. Any topic is welcome, but be sure to share your thoughts on what works well for your creative process. Do you assemble all the supplies at the beginning? Do you set a colour scheme or stick to one collection of papers? Share what works best for you!
