I love how this turned out! Did you get the Macaroons from KC as well? If so do please share where! I've been looking for a place in the area to try them! Also love how you included the anthro bag it matched perfectly!
I love how you used a different formatted divided page protector - I have a few, and feel more inspired to try them out now! Thanks for sharing :)
Love the pink, yellow, aqua, and kraft color combo. So dreamy.
Love what you did to the page. I got to use my first insert on Week 8 too. I like how the inserts can be used for specific event or day
Yet another great video~ I like the enamel dot in the sequin !
Always love your videos!
Video - Project Life: Mother's Day edition
Galleries: Scrapbooking, Project Life
Hi there, Peas! I'm here today with another lesson in the weekly Project Life series where myself and a few other Garden Girls will share tips and tricks as we assemble our Project Life spreads. A new lesson in this series can be viewed in the videos section each Saturday.
Right off the bat I have to say that a stream of sunlight and my floor, my messy floor, make a cameo appearance in the video. I was filming at a different time of day than I normally do so I was fighting harsh sunlight and shadows. I had to set up the camera in a different position and while I started out with no sunlight interfering, it started creeping in. I hope you'll forgive me and it is not too much of a distraction.
Today I decided to focus my spread on an event, rather than a week. We took a little trip for Mother's Day and I had several photos from the weekend. Rather than make a mini, I decided to scrap them project life style :) It will make a great addition to the album and is faster than a mini.
Instead of going random with my background paper choices I decided to use two sheets for the background: one cut up for the top 3 bigger sections and then one sheet cutup for the bottom sections. I loved how it helped unify the whole spread, but not too match-matchy as I get to adding photos, words and embellishments.
Speaking of embellishments, this week I played around with the ephemera pack from Crate Paper's The Pier line. Several of the pieces have a gold shine to them (so trendy) and I had fun adding them to my spread. That's my challenge for you this week: add some gold! There are lots of gold ideas in the store…POW paper, Studio Calico has several gold bits in their new Atlantic line, clothespins with gold designs, triangles, glitter, gold ink, sequins. Lots of options! At the end of the month a winner from all the challenge participants will be drawn and receive a $10 gift certificate announced on the Two Peas blog.
Don't forget to check out the new digitals goodies that were released today! I used some of the printables and a die cut on this spread. Loving the theme this month.
Thanks so much for watching and enjoy your Saturday!
