Video - Seeing Double: Lovely
For this month's Seeing Double video, I decided to focus on wood products. Some of the wood products I used were various wood veneer shapes, clothespins, and woodgrain patterned paper. I created a short minibook with photos from my birthday weekend. I wanted each page of the minibook to be different but still go together, so I used the wood products as the unifying element that repeated throughout the book.
For the layout, I knew that I wanted to use up a large piece of a wood grain patterned paper. I also wanted to have a loopy, curvy banner of the smaller wood veneer at the top. To layer, I used the scrap pieces from the minibook. Most of the embellishments were also from the packs that I used for the minibook.
I was a little paranoid that the video would be way too long because of the minibook, so I edited out some portions where I was just adhering things down but tried to keep in the parts showing my process.
CHALLENGE: Create a project using wood products! There are a lot of options, and I'll link some product ideas below. If you are not a fan of the bulkier clothespins or wood veneer, there are a lot of woodgrain patterned papers that are out right now as well.
