The photos I used are standard size, 4x6 inch (10x15cm).
I love TBBT too! Your layout is great ... what size are your pictures?
I really like the layers of the background and esp. the turned down corner. Great photos too. Maria
That's an awesome challenge!!! It got me thinking... hmmmm.....
And this is not our cat, it is the cat from a friend. I have to admit that I don´t know how old it is.
Janna I love this lo. Especially the placement of the string - it looks like the cat is reaching out and about to play with it! Is he an old cat? He looks a bit grey around the edges.
Video - In The Mood To Scrap - from fashion to layout
Hi Peas! Welcome to another video of the weekly IN THE MOOD TO SCRAP series! It's a cool idea where a garden girl creates a mood-board and based on it, creates a scrapbook page. I am going to show (and explain) to you how this layout, which is based on a Pinterest moodboard, came together! You'll find a new lesson in this series in the Videos section of Two Peas each Tuesday.
This week I am showing you how I got inspired by my favorite tv series “The Big Bang Theory”. Actually there is tons of inspiration in the show - I decided to focus on colors and patterns. The guys from TBBT are very stylish and always up to date *not really*, they mix colors and patterns in crazy ways. Just perfect for a colorful and happy scrapbooking page.
I went out of my comfort zone when choosing the colors: mustard, purple and red. You think this combination sounds unscrapable? Not at all!
Here´s a bit about the products I chose:
I have to admit that my stash does not include a lot of purple supplies. The purple paper is rather blue-purple, but that´s ok. The papers are from Amy Tangerine (for American Crafts), Dear Lizzy (for American Crafts), Studio Calico and Bazzill. Furthermore I used an ephemera pack by October Afternoon (Travel Girl), stickers and rubo-ons by Dear Lizzy (for American Crafts), stamps by Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy (again, for American Crafts), twine, sprays by Ranger Ink and Heidi Swapp and a sewing machine. The word “relax” is a sticker by Pink Paislee, the ink is from Tsukineko (StazOn) and the journaling was written with a XS pen by Faber-Castell.
My challenge this week: Get inspired by your favorite tv series and transfer any aspect of it onto a scrapbooking page (or any other papercrafting project). Every month we will draw a winner from all the MOOD TO SCRAP entries and reward them with a $10 gc. It will be announced on the 2peas blog.
