Really lovely. Your work is so pretty.
I love that this LO came out different from your normal style, but is still amazing!!
Michelle, this is lovely delicate page. And interesting way to add glitter too.
So pretty! I like the rosy pink journaling card you chose - it picks up the pinks in your cut flowers and in the flowers on the navy pp. Maria
This is beyond lovely!!
Thanks so much for the lovely comments :)
Video - Seeing Double: Bits & Pieces
Galleries: Scrapbooking, Cardmaking
For this month's Seeing Double, I wanted to focus on florals. I wanted to have a more bold statement on my layout, and a more subdued look of the florals on my card. My photo is a grid of little bits and pieces from over the summer. I created the collage in Picasa.
To make the colors and floral prints stand out, I decided to use this plain chalkboard printed paper from My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste Flair collection. First, I used a mixture of mod podge and water to create glitter splatters across the page. I used my Silhouette to cut out some leaves as well as the flowers from the Two Peas August digital cut files, and arranged them in a semi-circular shape at the top and bottom of the page. For layering, I used my favorite Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm floral print and added various Two Peas printables throughout.
Going with more subtle prints for the card, I used a smaller Dear Lizzy floral for the background. I used the Two Peas coffee cup digital cut file for the main focus and cut it out with a splashy floral print from Amy Tangerine. For the sentiment, I used a Mama Elephant stamp. To go with the coffee date idea, I added the Two Peas “date” wood veneer frame, and added some leftover flower die cuts behind the frame.
CHALLENGE: Add florals to your page! It can be bold or subtle (although I'd love to see some bold uses of floral!). There are so many different floral papers and embellishments available, I'll try to link some below. Can't wait to see what you create, thanks so much for taking a look!
