Very interesting take on journaling... and your handwriting in that gold pen is just amazing!
Another amaZing layout Jill! I love everything - the layers, the colors, the journaling, the alphas and especially your creativity! Thanks so much for another totally inspirational video.
I LOVE all the layers here and your handwritting is awesome and even more so in that gold pen!
Jill, I'm in total awe that you used all of the alphabet in that space and that you just journaled away w/o measuring or having to stop and re-do anything. GREAT l/o. Maria
Love your layout Jill, but I think I LOVE your "About the project" story even more!! I wish my girls could have you as an English teacher :)
Video - Scrap Your Stash: An Embedded Alphabet
by Jill Sprott
Fact: it's a rare occurrence to actually finish off a sheet of letter stickers. I'm not even sure it's really possible. Sure, I've heard tales told, but I remain a skeptic. It's always, "This one scrapbooker I know once used an entire sheet of Thickers,“ or, ”This woman at a crop was talking about how her best friend's husband's sister-in-law once used a whole set of acrylic alphas."
As for me, I collect alphabets the way that some collect wine, storing sheet after sheet in the darkness, watching them age over time and reminiscing about how the year that they were produced was a good year.
Enough with the collecting, alphabet connoisseurs! Let's put those letters to use!
This week's Scrap Your Stash video shares an idea for incorporating a variety of letters in a back-to-school layout by embedding them in the journaling, A to Z. It may not involve using an entire sheet (like your neighbor's co-worker's little sister's third grade teacher once did), but it does result in putting at least 26 good letters from your stash to use!
CHALLENGE: Use an A-to-Z approach on your next project, whether that means embedding the letters in your journaling or incorporating those 26 letters in another way on a project. Upload your project to the member gallery, and we will draw a winner of a $10 gift certificate to Two Peas from all of this month's Scrap Your Stash challenge entries. The announcement will be made on the Two Peas blog at the beginning of September. Have fun!
