Very helpful tips on making monochromatic pages vs colorful ones!! Thank you!
Jana, this was a good idea to compare l/o's in two different color schemes. I like the one with the bright colors the best, but I think the neutral colors would work well for a more formal l/o like a wedding. Thanks for explaining about the size of the photos used too. Maria
Thanks Jana... I like them both, prefer the colorful one, but I could always do a neutral one with bubble gum pops of color. I may try that!
great video as i love scrapping in this size. I love them both and will definitely scraplift this design.
a lot of fun to see both layouts!
Fascinating to see the process with both. Thanks so much - lots of inspiration there.
Video - In The Mood To Scrap - 2 Pages, 1 Design, 2 Moods
Hi Peas! Welcome to another video of the weekly IN THE MOOD TO SCRAP series! It's a cool idea where a garden girl creates a mood-board and based on it, creates a scrapbook page. I am going to show (and explain) to you how this layout, which is based on a Pinterest moodboard, came together! You'll find a new lesson in this series in the Videos section of Two Peas each Tuesday.
Ohhhh well.. what can I say?! I had a pretty hard time deciding which color scheme I wanted to use for my next ITMTS video - in the end I decided to scrap with two different ones: ‘neutral’ and ‘bubble gum’.
THE IDEA: The idea of this video tutorial is a) scrapping a 8.5 x 11" layout and b) showing how different a page looks and feels when using different color combos but the same design. So, this time it really is about the MOOD, not any shapes or themes! All images are from Pinterest.
Here´s a bit about the products I chose:
BE WARNED! I have tons of new scrapbooking supplies and I am using them!! :-) Glitz Design ‘Wild & Free’ collection pack, ‘Cut & Paste’ from Amy Tangerine, ‘Polka Dot Party’ from Dear Lizzy and ‘Penelope’ from Elle´s Studio. I am using stamps, tags, patterned papers, alphabet stickers and masking tape. Furthermore doublesided adhesive, glue, 3D dots and scissors - and 2 photos. You might wonder why I am using small photos on one layout and big ones on the other.. I wanted to show you the difference between using big and small photos, because the difference is huge!
My challenge this week: Get inspired by one of the two layouts - scrap a neutral or a bubble gum page. If you like, you can do both, of course!!
Every month we will draw a winner from all the MOOD TO SCRAP entries and reward them with a $10 gc. Because we are in the final week of September this challenge will be open through next month. The winner will be announced on the 2peas blog at the beginning of November.
