So awesome! We just featured this on our Pink Paislee Facebook page! :)
Love the colors on this l/o Laura. Everything works so well together - great washi tape border too. And what a cute little fella! Maria
You're fabulous, awesome & cool. What's the vendor name of the polka dot Washi tape?
I love absolutely everything about these two projects. The Hey Kid collection is my favorite from this summer's releases (with Maggie Holmes' a very close second). Very fun use of the products.
I haven't used vinyl on the Silhouette yet but my bf has a large vinyl cutter that I have used and did try to use transfer tape to attach vinyl to paper and it was a really bad idea. The transfer tape was just sticky enough that it wouldn't come off the paper smoothly. So my guess is the transfer tape for the silhouette vinyl would do the same. Beautiful page!!
For the vinyl... I don't have the transfer tape either, but I use contact paper instead. You have to get some of the sticky off first by sticking it to your shirt or the carpet, then it works great even on paper, because it isn't quite sticky enough to stick permanantly to the paper.
Video - Seeing Double: Be: Fabulous, Awesome, Cool
Hey guys! It's another Seeing Double Friday and I'm happy to be here with a 12x12 layout and card.
I built this page around the Hey Kid collection pack by Pink Paislee. As soon as I got the kit in the mail, my oldest and I did an impromptu photo shoot actually using the chipboard mustache and glasses. He thought it was hilarious and thusly a layout was born! :)
I am a huge huge huge fan of the Two Peas Wood Veneers and had so much fun incorporating them onto both my card and page. I also used one of the 3x4 Printable cards that I printed on Kraft paper.
My title is a mix of vellum from the Hey Kid ephemera pack, and a silhouette cute from a Two Peas cut file. I cut it out with white vinyl and applied it to my page that way.
I also went a bit crazy with Doodlebug washi tape on the layout. I adore all the bright colours, and just thought it added to the whimsy of the page.
Here's the video!
Challenge: Use wood veneer on a layout and card. Then upload your project to the correct challenge gallery. One winner from this month's ?Seeing Double? video challenges will be selected to win a 2Peas Gift Certificate just for playing along. I can't wait to see what you'll create!! :)
