Great LO and I love the white with the woodgrain!
Thank you for a great video. I always look forward to seeing your work as I am a big fan of your style.
Lovely and sweet as always! Your dude is really growing up!
absolutely love this page. Beautiful words with a beautiful layout. I love your style. Its always well thought out and it shows!
I really, really like your style! So clean. I never would have thought to put white snowflakes on white cardstock. They look amazing! Adding a few in the gray was a good idea and I really like the red enamel dot in the center of one of the snowflakes. You could also cut the snowflakes on a Cricut which is what I have.
Another great Nancy Damiano creation. It turned out amazing.
Video - Moments Video: My Everything
The Moments video series is about scrapbooking the stories that we need to tell. In this video I walk you through telling your story through design, journaling and choosing the right photos.
The photos from this layout are from our annual Christmas tree farm trip. I could have made a layout about the facts of the day - when, where, how much, how big our tree was. But when I was looking over the pictures what I remember was that these were taken one day after the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary. It took me right back to what I was thinking and feeling that day - profound sadness and gratitude for my family. That's what prompted me to make this layout and share those feelings.
The design was based on our January moodboard. I kept the colors clean and simple, letting the story and photos stand out. The die cut snowflake add an intricate background and winter feel to the layout. Each layer adds dimension and tiny pops of color for an understated feel.
Watch the video to see how it all comes together:
CHALLENGE: Use layered die cuts to make an interesting backdrop for your photos. They can be store bought or made with an electronic cutting machine - just layer and repeat. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
