Love the idea of a summary page. I liked how you incorporated the 12 x 12 as well as the pocket page. Great idea!
Love your idea for lots of journaling on a separate page and still room for lots of photos.
I feel like I need to be "caught up" because with 3 children/busy life, I start to forget some of the stories. Like I will look at a random photo and know at the time that it had a lot more meaning to it then than it does now. Guess I need to do more of those photos right away.
I love this idea! It is fun to look back and try to find a theme for the year. I love that you admit to not being "on schedule" with your scrapping. I feel badly for those who describe themselves as being behind. For me it's about doing what inspires me, telling the stories that have meaning for me and like you, time can really add a lot of dimension to my journaling! Thanks for the inspiration!
Nice double-page l/o. I like that the "divided" page can be easily done on a 12x12. That's a wonderful idea to take photos of your favorite things about where you live. And I'm so glad that you got to go back "home" to "nest". Maria
Thanks again for the inspiration! I think this would be a great concept for a vacation title page or summary page! I'm going to work on one right now!
Another great GG episode! Love the "end-of-year" idea(or any other idea)and the pocket page. Super way to use scraps and cut sketchy photos into useful squares.
Video - Glitter Girl Adventure 105: Seasons and Schedules
This week Glitter Girl has been thinking about that scary scrapbooking concept: should she be ‘caught up’? While it's not a motivation that drives her personal scrapping from day to day, she still likes to have some current projects with ease and one of her favourite ways to catch up quickly is to do an ‘in review’ layout that looks at one specific aspect of life with its own story. This week's adventure takes her through a double page spread: first a page of many small photos reviewing the seasons and then onto an accompanying 12x12 page with the journaling that makes all those photos make sense.
Come along for the adventure, won't you?
This week Glitter Girl challenges you to take on the ‘in review’ concept and catch up with just a little something - be it a week, a month, a year, or any other time period. Share what you make in the gallery and don't forget to check the box for this challenge in step four of the uploading process.
