Do you ever feel overwhelmed or have 'creative' block? What helps me is to stop trying to make it perfect! I do try to organize by color and theme. For some reason - maybe it's just me - giving a reasonable timeline helps. Take the pressure off and remember it's not job. What I thought was most dreadful actually received compliments but still need any other suggestions anyone might have.

For me, I get inspired by looking at the gallery here, reading posts, scrap lifting a page or idea from a page and even sometimes organizing my room will get the creative spark going.

What gets me inspired is watching the great videos available here, and searching the gallery.

I think the videos get me going the most because when I watch them, the presenter looks to be having so much fun, and I wanna have fun, too. Also, when I listen to them, listening to their thought process get my thought process flowing.

I am with scrappycass I do all the same things. The gallery is great and I also look at blogs for my favorite brands and designers. And sometimes just looking through my paper gives me ideas.

And the videos from the garden girls have been super informative and fun to watch makes me wish I could sit at my table all day

That's totally me right now. I sit down to maybe think about coming up with something and it's like a giant tree stump bonks me in the brain. Can't seem to find my creative fuel right now. But I also realize that for me anyway it's just part of the creative process and it'll eventually iron itself out.

I look through my stash and find the paper collections that I'm most excited about working with and then search youtube vids using those papers and google images too. Usually that's enough to get the mojo going. When all else fails, I organize and just seeing and touching all the different stuff sparks something.

The pictures are what get me inspired. Sometimes I have photos that are calling to me to be scrapped, and other times nothing seems right. If I've got the photos, I usually have the desire to go to it!

I'm with StreetScrapper. It's my pictures that give me that itch to scrap!

Looking at the gallery and going through my paper are also good ways to get in a scrapping mood, but it really always comes back to my pictures.

Stacy Julian always often alludes to "living with" or "visiting" your pictures, which I think is a really good point. I have all my pictures organized in Picasa, so monthly I set my screensaver to show only the current months pictures. So right now, every digital picture I ever took beginning way back in 2004 flashes by. Seeing those pictures gives me lots of great ideas for scrapping.

I got myself out of a year and a half rut by starting to use Allison Davis' sketch books and the SSC club. After 14 years, I just didn't feel creative anymore until I found those sketches. It opened up so many new creative avenues for me!

Looking through galleries and magazines is a good way to get an itch started.

I just came up with this layout inspiration recently and I think that will really help. I already start with a sketch.
